Jon Pratty

Chair: Brighton Digital Festival.

Creative Producer: Ideas Test

Digital Envoy: Kent Connects

I initiated, developed and won management [and funding] backing for Brighton Digital Festival, taking strategic funds intended for a simple digital arts seminar and turning them into seed-funding for a month-long digital season. Now a major success, the Festival has grown from a pilot in 2011 to over 150 events in 2014.

I conceived, fundraised for, and helped develop four ACE strategic projects during 2012/13. 1) Streaming Out live streaming seminar series, delivered regionally by Lighthouse; 2) an Ideas Camps programme, run by Blast Theory 3) Short Circuit digital accessibility hack weekends, delivered by Sarah Pickthall and Jo Verrent 4) Culture Kent Pathfinder project, with Year One Consulting, an open data culture/tourism project [on-going].
