Donna Comerford – Director

Donna Donna is an independent Educational Technologist, Project Manager & Event Producer.

A fully experienced and qualified educator, specialising in creative computing and business enterprise. The new low cost computing innovations of the last few years have allowed her to bring a more creative maker environment to the classroom and informal learning environments. Using student self-directed projects and working with schools, organisations and festivals she has raised the engagement and quality of work created by students to a new level.

Past roles: Head of Business Education at an Independent School. Head of ICT Departments in East & West Sussex. Youth Worker, Administrator and member of HM Forces. Voluntary – STEM Ambassador & MOZFest 2015 volunteer. Studying MSc Technology Management with The Open University

Past projects include:

Mindstogether; Silverdale Primary Academy’s Minds Together programme is about how primary age children experience health & well-being issues and their ability to communicate their fears, stresses and how they might develop methods for coping. Collaborative project between Silverdale Primary Academy, People in IT & Cuspinc funded by The Bedgebury Foundation. Summer 2017.

SprungDigi Digital Duchess; supporting the use of technology during the project. Creating media wall, live stream concept & execution, editing SprungDigi highlights film from the Horsham Digital Arts Festival 2015.

Part of the project team who produced Intel Super Human Academy event June 2015. Recruiting Digital Artists to work on project.

Project managing an Artswork-funded project extending digital practice in Eastbourne, working alongside Towner Gallery and Tech Resort CIC, to develop and deliver the Connective Culture project during 2014.

Worked with ReadySaltedCode Data Circus project at the Roundhouse Camden 2014.

Ongoing extra-curricular involvement with Young Rewired State Festival of Code, The Sussex Archive at The Keep, Brighton, Tech Resort Teens and CoHub in Eastbourne. Continues to bring new ideas and broaden the horizons of young people she works with. LinkedIn
